On Wednesday, December 24, the list for the next Haiti Prime Minister got shorter. Following a consultation with presidents of the twp chambers, President Michel Martelly has decided that the net Haiti Prime Minister will be either Herve Day, Charles Jean Jacques or Evans Paul.

President Martelly is expected to select the next Prime Minister on Christmas Day, this Thursday December 25, 2014.

Although the final name has not been released yet, many people have the suspicion that eventually it will be Evans Paul, the former leader of Konvansyon Inite Demokratik, (KID).

Two major decisions that took place today suddenly made MOPOD realized that it is in a ship by itself that is quickly taking on water. KID is no longer part of MOPOD and Fanmi lavalas has decided to join the Dialogue.

Evans Paul (K-plim) announced this morning that KID is no longer part of MOPOD, stating that a dialogue is the only way to find a solution to the problems in Haiti.

In an other development, Ansyto Félix announced that Fanmi lavalas will take part of the discussion. That was followed by the presence of the coordinator of the party, Doctor Maryse Narcisse on Monday at the dialogue.

The "Haitian Joudalist" just heard something that is very upsetting. Even worst, it was revealed on May 18, the day we celebrate our flag, a symbol of unity and Black pride.

The Race issue is back in the Haitian society. That is if the information revealed by the Haitian politician and former president of the Democratic United Committee (Komite inite Demokratik, KID) is true. Mr. Evens Paul reported on the popular Radio show "Ranmase" that in an event taking place recently in the city of Milot in the North of the country, the Chief of Protocal responsible to organize the event wanted more children of mixed color in front because too many of them were dark; he ordered the black children to go on the back, moving the light skinned children to the front.

Throughout the history of Haiti, only a few political parties have had a strong organizational structure. In the 1870s and the 1880s, the Liberal Party and the National Party were the two dominant political parties in Haiti reflecting the social and class division that exists in the country. On one side, you see the Liberals party composed mainly of the wealthier and better-educated mulatto minority in Haiti. On the other hand, the Nationalists Party, made mainly of the lower-and middle-class black majority.

Following the United States occupation (1915-34), the nationalist parties organized around the issue of resistance to foreign occupation. The political parties in Haiti started multiplying during the presidential campaign of 1946. Many candidates were participating, including: Parti Socialiste (PSP), Parti Democrate Unifi (PDU), Mouvement Ouvrier Paysan (MOP) and many more. During the Duvalier reign, most political leaders had been silenced.
