Before the wedding reception begins, have formal photos taken of those special moments when the bride and groom now interact with friends and family as a newly married couple. Arrange for a room, or perhaps a garden, where these photos can be taken. Here are recommendations for such photos.

Take photos of the maid(s) of honor viewing the bride's ring; and photos of the bridesmaids viewing the bride's ring.

Take photos of the bride and groom's hands with their wedding rings. A traditional photo like this can be less formal and more relaxed today. You can be creative with these shots, for example, by having them hold up their ring hands with happy smiles, instead of a static photo of each of their hands only.

Take photos of the bride and groom in happy and relaxed juxtapositions; photos of the bride flanked by her parents and the groom flanked by his; photos of bride, groom, and both sets of parents.

Take photos of bride and groom flanked by the best man, groomsmen, maid(s) of honor, and bridesmaids.

Take photos of bride and groom with flower girl and ring bearer.

Take photos of bride flanked by her maid(s) of honor and bridesmaids; and photos of groom flanked by his best man and groomsmen.

Take photos of bride and groom flanked by the complete bridal party.

Take photos of the bride and groom flanked by their parents, grandparents, and if a religious occasion, godparents.
