The distinction of showing at the prestigious salon on Via Bergognone is not lost on Jean. Winner of Vogue Italia's Who's On Next talent search, she says Armani's recognition of her is received with much gratitude. To be chosen in the field of young fashion designers by an innovator, who has his finger on the pulse of fashion trends to come, is a remarkable honor.

A native of Rome, Jean was chosen by Armani because of her "unique and very personal style." She mixes dramatic ethnic-inspired prints alongside billowy but gracefully draped shapes.

Armani comments on the purpose of Armani Teatro, which is to lend assistance to upcoming fashion designers in Italy by giving them a place to showcase their talent. He is putting the full weight of his influence behind Jean, and hopes her collection showing will give her a wider recognition among fashionistas.

Jean explains further the impact of Armani's choice of her. She says his faith has given her confidence as a neophyte fashion designer. She adds his support of her burgeoning talent has inspired her to excel and prove his confidence in her is not misplaced. She ends with "I am . . . deeply grateful for the opportunity offered to me."
