Michel Martelly appointing remaining three Court of Auditors

After resisting for several Months by explaining his reserves for the appointment of some of the Auditors. After using all types of tricks that did not hold such as questioning the academic credential osf several candidates.

More importantly, after finding out that Haiti Senate President Simon Desras, would not negotiate any of the names, President Michel Martelly has decided to admit defeat.

On Friday November 28, 2014, before going to the City of Gonaives to celebrate the Kanaval season, Michel Martelly signed a decree appointing the other three members of the Superior Court of Auditors

Haitians Honored for commitment and consistency in 2013

Several individuals in Haiti have been commended by parliament for their hard work and perseverance in being strong contenders for freedom of speech, press, equalitarianism, etc.

They are: Frantz Duval, Emmelie Prophet Milce Jean Tholbert Alexis Simon Dieuseul Desras Gary Pierre-Paul Charles, Anthony Pascal aka"Konpè Filo" Marie Lucie Bonhomme and Me Carlos Hercules and Francis Concite

These individuals received plates of honor for their promotion of these freedoms and rule of law in their country. Two branches of parliament have deemed these individuals brave peace workers who would step forth when many others may have been too timid.

Senator Simon Dieuseul Desras remains in Post

The President of the Senate has kept his leadership on the Senate. The office of the Senate was renewed based on a resolution passed by the Senators.

The resolution allowed the office of the Senate of the Republic to be renewed in its its entirety for one more year

However there were some recommendations coming mainly from the Senators supporting the government of Michel Martelly. They wish that President of the Senate, Simon Dieuseul Desras, demonstrate greater restraint in his public speeches in the future

The 210th anniversary of Haiti Independence, Gonaives

This proud celebration of our 210th anniversary or our independence was celebrated in the city of Gonaives. Starting with a Mass held at the Cathedral of Gonaives. Bishop Yves-Marie Péant who presided talked about love and unity.

The religious ceremony was followed by a presentation at the Place d'Armes of Gonaives where President Michel Martelly and several dignitaries were present, including Senator Simon Dieuseul Desra and Deputy Jean Tholbert Alexis.

A gesture that was very appreciated. The Haitian President had invited several former presidents to commemorate the 210th anniversary of Haiti Independence. unfortunately, only two showed up: Jean Claude Duvalier and prosper Avril.

24th promotion of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) - Video

Here is the video for the official ceremony of the graduation ceremony for the 24th promotion of the National Police of Haiti (PNH). The ceremony took place at the Police Academy in Frères

A total of 1,058 new police officers were part of the 24th Promotion. The new graduates include 114 women

Present at the ceremony was: President Michel Martelly, the Minister of Justice and Public Safety, Me Jean Renel Sanon, the President of the Senate, Simon Dieuseul Desras, the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Me Jean Tholbert Alexis, the Director General of the National Police of Haiti, Godson Orélus and the Divisional Commissioner Francène Moreau.

Maryse Narcisse & Moise Jean Charles, two sides of the same coin

Here is a video of Simon Dieuseul Desras in an unsuccessful attempt to reconcile Maryse Narcisse and Moise Jean Charles. In this meeting recently held in the City of les cayes, Senator Deras did his best to bring the two sides together but it did not work. Moise Jean Charles and Maryse Narciss stayed in opposite sides of the Fanmi lavalas party.

Senate Wencesclas Lambert Pa konn Li oubyen Li Li Tet Anba

While most Haitian Senators did not see a big deal with the letter Senator Simon Dieuseul Desras addressed to the Chilean government recently, Senator Wencesclas Lambert did not see it that way. According to Wencesclas Lambert, Simon Dieuseul Desras clearly calls for foreign troops to overthrow a legitimate government.

This is new in Haitian politic. A seating Senator went in front of the Parliament of another country to complaint about his own executive branch of government. Senator Simon Dieuseul Desras went before the Parliament of Chile to complaint about Michel Martelly.

Haiti National Radio Television (RTNH) Experienced Technical difficulties as Moise Jean-Charles intervenes

Was this a pure case coincidence, luck for the Government, or was it intentional?

Following the sudden interruption of the retransmission several Senators went on publicly to denounce the action of Haiti National Radio Television (RTNH), wanting RTNH to terminate its retransmission altogether. Senate President Dieuseul Simon Deras solved the issue by proposing to conduct an investigation about the incident.

Until a current investigation determines the nature of the technical failure presumably experienced by the National Radio Television (RTNH) during an intervention by Senator Moïse Jean-Charles at the meeting convened by the Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, people on the media have been forming different opinions.
