On February 10, 2014, Sunrise Airways and BVI Airways have announced that they have entered a 'Subservice Flight Operations Agreement'. 'Wet Lease' is one type of fixed term agreement whereby the lessor airline company provides aircraft, complete crew, maintenance, and insurance (ACMI) to the lessee company who may initiate new routes or may fly services where he (the lessee) is banned from operating. BVI Airways is an airline from the British Virgin Islands, headquartered at Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport. It serves the territory of main island of Tortola with the capital of the British Virgin Islands, Road Town.

Under the terms of the agreement, Sunrise Airways will use BVI Airways flights to fly from Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport (EIS) in Tortola to Dominica and St Maarten while one aircraft of BVI Airways will undergo for scheduled overhauling and necessary maintenance in the United States.

Philippe Bayard, the President of Sunrise Airways has released a written statement that says it is a proud moment for Sunrise Airways because no other Haitian airway was ever granted permission to operate on such an agreement for a foreign air carrier. We will remain uncompromised in commitment on quality and safety. We are pleased with the agreement and committed to expand our relationship in future. Sunrise will deploy Jetstream 32 EP aircrafts with comfortable leather seats and ample cabin luggage space for 19 passengers.
