Trinidad to gave 1 million US dollars contribution for Haiti Election

There is Chance that now when we think about Trinidad and Tobago, soccer will not be the first thing that comes to mind. Although they were very competitive and our main obstacle in the the soccer world decades ago, The people of Trinidad and Tobago demonstrated that they can also be very generous toward us. On Monday, Trinidad and Tobago made a contribution of 1 million US dollars to support the election process in Haiti.

Ambassador Denis Régis who presented the contribution to the United Nations for Haiti admitted that Trinidad owes a lot to Haiti for the role played in encouraging other countries in the Caribbean to fight for independence.

Other countries that have so far contributed to the election in Haiti beside Trinidad and Tobago include: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Japan, Mexico, Norway, the United States and the European Union
