Action Plan Three Months before the Wedding

Three months before the wedding is the time to start phase two of your wedding plans.

Three months before the wedding is the time to start phase two of your wedding plans. Here are some action guidelines for you to follow.

Whatever plans you've made for the wedding ceremony site, now is the time to confirm date and time. At this point, also confirm the wedding and reception dates and times with the florist and caterer, the band or dj, and the photographer. Confirm your payment arrangements with all of them.

Order and begin addressing the wedding invitations. You don't want to leave this important task until the last moment, when there are so many other wedding details to oversee.

If you're having a formal wedding, order your place cards, napkins, wedding album, and thank you cards at this time.

If you've settled on a honeymoon destination, reserve your hotel accommodations and airline tickets. And begin to choose your honeymoon wardrobe.

Call and check on the dates of delivery for both your wedding gown and bridesmaids' dresses. Also set times for fittings.

Order the bridegrooms' tuxes. And don't forget to order their boutonnières as part of the floral order.

For the bridal party, make reservations with a limousine service. Check their references to avoid unprofessional conduct that can mar or ruin your wedding day.

Make an appointment to receive pre-marital counseling, if you're having a religious ceremony.

Go to your primary-care physician for a complete physical check-up and also get a blood test, if legally mandated by your state.
