12/02/11.Despite numerous efforts on the part of the international community to help Haiti recover from the mass-death and destruction caused by the killer-earthquake on January 12, 2010, the money made available to the country is insufficient and the reconstruction too slow. Together with the United Nations the Martelly-Conille administration needs to have Haitians living and working abroad to pay taxes from their incomes to Haiti.

While our country should remain grateful to the donor-nations such as the United States of America, Canada, France and many others, the Haitian people as a whole must decide the economic strategies and all financial investments in rebuilding Haiti.

It is our duty to manage better the funds put in our disposal by the Inter-American Bank of Development, the World Bank, the International Monetary Funds and other World Organizations.

The Haitian Diaspora contributions to improve living conditions in Haiti are absolutely indispensable.
