@Demosthenes,

In the case of Clifford Brandt and his other colleague criminals, judgment shouldn't be promptly passed not until they are found guilty in the court of the law. Indeed, this is true and I totally agree with you. However, meantime, I find that you contradict yourself.

If you truly believe in the principles of the court of the law, i.e., before condemning anyone of being accused of a crime, he or she has to be found guilty in the court's verdict.

My question to you, why do you pass judgment on Aristide without seeing and having any criminal record of his wrongdoings?

According to CIA Factsbook, there is no proof of such crimes Former President Aristide is being accused for. Nevertheless, CIA Factsbook has all the records of the crimes the Duvaliers, father and son, had committed, during the periods of their presidencies.

In addition, to compare the acts of Clifford Brandt and other Haitian civilians with the accused acts of Former President Aristide and the proven acts of Former President Duvaliers, father and son, they are irrelevant.

Clifford Brandt and other Haitian criminals are civilians who form groups of gangs, in order to commit malicious and barbaric crimes on innocently ordinary Haitian citizens.

And whereas the Duvaliers were Presidents of Haiti who had failed out to embrace and comprehend the needs, social backwardness and dense poverty of Haiti and Haitian people.

Instead, they chose to steal Haiti's monitary fund, terrorize and commit all kind of barbaric crimes on innocent, illiterate, intellectual, rich and poor Haitians.

A president's crime shouldn't be compared with an ordinary citizen's crime.

A president's role is to do best for his/her country and people.

Therefore, he or she must portray himself or hersel as a role model to his/her country, people and the world.

So, whenever a president of a nation goes oppositely to such principled standards, such oppositions are always considered as acts of high treasons-criminalities.

And the crime of an ordinary citizen is always considered as the act of criminality.

This is why the duty of a president of a nation is to create the best police and investigative forces within each city in the country, so as to watch out the criminals and also to protect innocent and descent citizens.

To conlude, in the case of Clifford Brandt and his other accused colleague criminals in the affair of kidnapping in Haiti, since most of them are mulattoes and light skins and also members of the Haitian elite class, most Haitians have seen their cases differently, in terms of empathy and sympathy.

The late Ti Paris, musician, composer and singer, has a passage in one of his lyrics that says,

"Le gran neg milat la pete, yo di son gaz li rann. E le malere-a po nwa pete, yo di se pete li pete e pete-a santi.

Le gran neg milat la manke on dan devan, yo di son chenet li genyen devan dan li. E le malere-a po nwa gon chenet devan dan li, yo di se mazora li mazora.

Le gran neg milat la aji mal sosyalman, yo di se plezi li lap pran. E le malere-a po nwa aji mal sosyalman, yo di se mal elve li mal elve, yo kritike li..."

If Clifford Brandt and his other colleague criminals are found guilty in the court of the law, they must be condemned just like any other criminals.

Their crimes are not different from the crimes of the black-skinned kidnappers who live in Cite Soleil, in Haiti.

Emphatically, Clifford Brandt and his other collegue criminals are the master minds behind all the kidnapping groups in Haiti...
