RE: Dominicans are getting self-destructive, we should help them

I'm black american and believe me the white people here in the U.S. don't care about Haiti or racism toward Haiti.

The only thing they think about is getting out of the cold weather.

When it's snowy and bitter cold here they want to go someplace warm and sunny.

They don't care whether the Dominican Republic is racist towards Haiti.

They themselves are racist towards Haiti.

I understand your strategy but I don't think it will work. It would be better to imitate the Dominican Republic and have the Haitian government work towards greater tourism for the country.

Tourism will bring much needed jobs, development, roads, bridges, training, etc. Jamaica and the other Caribbean countries have done the same. At this stage of their development the only thing they have the rest of the world is their sunny beaches and warm weather.

Hopefully, one day soon they can build their economies to compete for financial and high tech jobs. I think Haiti would be better off imitiating and not threatening the Dominican Republic.
