Why the International community is responsible to fund Election in Haiti?

why is the International community so willing to fund Haiti election?

Why all that interest.

is it because they care so much about establishing the Democratic system in Haiti or is it because this is the best way to get control on the process?

According to the Government figures, there is a commitment form the international community to fund this election that is supposed to cost 38 million.

The Americans, the European Unions are all in it. They want to help. They care.

What is in it for them?

Haiti does not produce much of anything.

However, it is a major consuming society.

Most of the things we consume come from outside.

Wouldn't you want to have some influences over that particular consuming market.
