Ecole Elie Dubois in Port-au-Prince

Jane Woellhof - February 28 2016, 5:28 PM

Loaning my 1945 Port au Prince, Haiti, needlework sampler to an Exhibit of Schoolgirls Samplers at
Pioneer Museum, Fredericksburg, TX. This sampler was a gift to me by a woman who lived in Haiti before WW II. She told me the sampler was worked at a school ran by nuns from Belgium to teach girls needlework and education.

Can you tell me if this would have been the Ecole Elie Dubois in Port-au-Prince?

She
purchased many table linens from this school and all are marked with blue (still visible) and thought to be consistent with Belgium needlework.

Thank your for any assistance you can give me.
