Protests of the election started on the day of the election as polling places were closing.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Mrs. Mirlande Manigat called for an independent evaluation of the votes. She stated that preliminary results allocated to her do not correspond to reality. Michel Martelly urged his supporters to protest the results of the election nonviolently. Martelly stated: "Demonstrating without violence is the right of the people. I will be with you until the bald-head victory"
American Airlines, as a precaution, continues to suspend all flights in destination of Haiti.
No one knows if the decision of the Electoral Council to recount the votes would calm the Haitian protesters. On Thursday, streets remained barricaded and some protests were still taking place in several regions of the country

I have a solution for this election in Haiti.
First of all eliminate all the candidates who went to this election.
Then hand pick Leslie Jacques and his boyfriend Michel Souca as a Prime minister so they can get out of the closet.
In addition choose No more thean 2 New Candidates of whom one will be Titortue, L'artibonite Senator, and the other one will be Vicky Benoit to run for President of Haiti.
