Death in Campech, Belle Ville due to Flooding

Three of them were from Cite Soleil, a district of Port-au-Prince and three others in Delmas, and Carrefour. As per Directorate of Civil Protection and Interior Ministry's report, 245 families had to be relocated and 8,379 homes were flooded due to overflowing river in April. Some of the big issues after a flooding in Haiti commonly include: deaths and missing people, cholera, damaged crops, livestock killed, non availability of charcoal required for cooking, damages to property, latrine overflow with feces everywhere, life-threatening mudslides in deforested areas.
In November 2014, heavy rainfall caused flooding and landslides in Northern Haiti, killing 17 people. More than 15,000 houses were flooded. The hurricane season of 2008 was the cruelest natural disaster that Haiti has ever experienced with an estimated damage of over $1 billion. Four storms--Fay, Gustav, Hanna, and Ike dumped heavy rain in Haiti: 793 were killed, 310 missing and another 593 injured. Over 22,702 homes were destroyed and another 84,625 homes damaged; wiped out 70% of Haiti's crops, many died of malnutrition following the hurricanes and flood.
