Matt and Julie Reichard, the two U.S. Directors of 'Freedom Global Outreach' visited Haiti first in 2002 for six weeks. It was a love at first sight to the couple for the country. They decided to make regular trips to Haiti and eventually formed 'Freedom Global Outreach' to help the orphan and abandoned children living in Haiti. Today, FGO maintains three orphanages in Haiti, two for girls and one for boys that provide the following benefits for the children: (a) Home to live in; (b) Educational opportunities; (c) Three meals a day; (d) Medical helps; (e) Clothing, bed, shower and shoes; (f) Sports facilities; (g) Teaching life skills; and (h) Help with homework. The eligible elder children (18 years) get opportunities for scholarship for further education and employment. They are taught to give back and bless others in their community.
Next year Matt and Julie Reichard will sell their Mid-state home, cars and move permanently to run the Heaven's Angels Pediatric Clinic in Jacmel.
