Elvis Dumervil, professional American football player

Elvis Dumervil is one of the players born of Haitian parents who had immigrated to the states during one of those moments of high political instability and had to escape to safety settling in the US in Miami best known as little Haiti. He grew up with 10 other children that his parents raised and became one of the best football players that the country has.

Elvis Dumervil was drafted into the football national teams by NFL in 2006 on the 4th round while he played college football in Louisville. He attended college at University of Louisville where his playing began with a very low turnout. He was about to be redshirt by the coach but due to injuries to other players he just continued playing until the year 2005 when everything changed. He rose with a sudden uprising that everyone was astonished.

Vladimir Ducasse, professional American football player

Vladimir Ducasse is a Haitian-American football player. He was born and raised in Haiti where his family lived until 2002 when he moved to the US and attended school at Stamford High School in Stamford, Connecticut. There he joined the school's team and became one of the best players in the school. He therefore continued with the sport until he got to college where his talent grew and nurtured to the point that he got better at it.

Vladimir Ducasse is one of the few players lucky enough to have been selected by the NFL association in 2010 in the second round of the drafting where he was ranked 62nd. It was a great chance he got since it is one of the hardest things for an immigrant to make it to the national teams and as such he got it in a very notable manner.

Pierre Thomas, American football player with Haitian origin

Pierre Thomas is one of the successful professional American football players with Haitian origin. He is a running back for the New Orleans Saints in the National Football League.

Alongside Pierre Garçon of the Indianapolis Colts and Jonathan Vilma of the New Orleans Saints, Thomas is Haitian American Football player with a remarkable reputation. His career choice in American football was inspired by his mother and cousin. He has also drawn a lot of inspiration from his hero Barry Sanders, former running back for the Detroit Lions.

He is an American football player of a Haitian descent. Pierre Garcon was born in America though his parents were from Haiti where they had moved to the US during one of the political situations in the country which were very common during the days. They had immigrated to the US seeking refuge and had their children born there.

Pierre Garcon is one of the famous football players known all over the country out of his abilities and exceptional talent. He plays for the Washington Redskins of the National Football Leagueevent since being drafted in 2008 by the NFL. He attended high school at John I. Leonard High School in Greenacres, Floridawhere he participated in various co-curricularactivities all involving sports such as soccer, tracks and American football.

Max Jean-Gilles, Philadelphia Eagles offensive guard

Max Jean-Gilles is an American football guard who formerly played for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He is born of Haitian parents but was born in the US. This was during one of those times when the country of Haiti was experiencing a great deal of problems with its leaders leading to constant attacks and demonstrations and dictator leaders who made most of the citizens to seek refuge in the only places they could get safety.

They thus moved into the US where Max Jean-Gilles was born and raised. He has grown to know and love the game of football where he has shown exceptional talent and where he has shown a great deal of talent. He attended college at the University of Georgia where he also joined the football team and where he nurtured his talent in playing the game.

Louis Delmas, professional football player for the Detroit Lions

Louis Delmas is one of the Haitian born stars in the American football teams. He was born in America but his parents were from Haiti who had moved into the states in one of the many political imbalances that used to rock the country during the early years. He has been able to present a great show of abilities in the football games where he has had a great career ever since being drafted into the Detroit national football team.

In his young years Louis Delmas attended school at Miami Beach high school where he had joined the school team and where he began nurturing his career and talent. He was able to easily make the best of it until eventually he got so good at it he just had to be drafted into the 2009 NFL draft.

Gosder Cherilus, Detroit Lions offensive tackle

Gosder Cherilus is a Haitian born football star who has made it in the limelight out of his great and exceptional talent on the field. He plays for Detroit Lions of the National Football League as an offensive tackle where so far he has shown a great deal of talent and expertise. He is one of the few players who have made it out of their being very much dedicated at what they do such that he is one of the few players who are able to make a great chance out of nothing by just getting into the field and doing what they do and only know.

Jonathan Vilma, Linebacker, open Academy for Peace and Justice School in Haiti

New Orleans Saints linebacker, Jonathan Vilma, recently opened an academy in Haiti which is known as the Jonathan Vilma Foundation. This institution is meant to enable all the children around the region get an education where he is able to provide most of the basic needs for these kids without much hassle on their part. This is because he is providing them with everything they need including an all paid for education. He raised $50,000 for this project and says that so for everything is working out just fine with everything intended being in place.

Haitian Invasion Of The NFL And The Super Bowl

Four players in Sunday's Super Bowl XLIV are Haitian Americans, and many other Haitians are looking to follow in their footsteps.

This recent earthquake can only shake but not break us. As Haiti looks to rebuild from January's devastating earthquake, we will continue to make progress in other areas such as sports, education, art, science, technology, medicine and many others.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Pierre Garcon and Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma are the latest Haitian Super Stars performing in Super Bowl XLIV. Garcon has been raising money for Haiti through his Helping Hands Foundation.

He hopes to raise $500, 000 so he can distribute food and aid during a personal visit in April.
