Police Inspector Michel Jumel shot dead in Tap Tap at Delmas 83

On Thursday, August 25, around 10:00AM Police Inspector Michel Jumel who was traveling in Delmas 83 in a Tap Tap was deadly hit by two bullets. The officer was not in uniform at the time. It appears that the killing was a set up.It was reported that just before the shooting, the bandits menaced some of the passengers in the Tap Tap but only targeted Inspector Michel Jumel

Police officer Gerald Francois killed in Portail Leogane

The Police officer Gérald François is the latest law enforcement in Haiti who was cowardly assassinated. This took place on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 in Portail Léogane. he was found covered with blood close to Théâtre National. According to the judge Fritz Belliard who came to the location, the officer received at least 5 bullets.

Police officer Placide Jean-Louis killed in Champ de Mars

Another Police Officer is down in Port-au-Prince. January 17, 2016 Police officer Placide Jean-Louis who is an Agent 4 working in Cite Soleil was cowardly assassinated in in Champ de Mars, not too far from the Musee du Pantheon National (MUPANAH). He was shot multiple time by unknown individual as he came out of the Bank after a financial tranaction

David Dume, Police Officer killed in Martissant 21

The PNH has confirmed this Friday (February 12, 2016) the assassination of Police Officer David Dume in Matissant 21. He was assigned to the Directorate of Traffic. The PNH officer was on his motorcycle on his way to work when he was shot several time by bandits. He passed away on the spot.

Bandit on motorcycle killed inspector Daniel Pierre in Delmas 31

I hate to say this but Haiti, Port-au-Prince in particular is not one of the safest places to be in at the end of the year. I will be even be more specific, the Demas area is a death trap and for the past few weeks, is has been at the center of most of the assassinations. The latest victim is a Police Officer. We learned that a bandit on motorcycle just killed inspector Daniel Pierre of the Judiciary Police (DCPJ) in Delmas 31.

Police officer wilbert Etienne ambushed and killed

On Wednesday, October 14, 2015, an off-duty police officer was ambushed and killed in the neighborhood of Delmas 24 while he was returning from a bank on motorcycle after collecting a loan of 180,000 gourdes. The two motorcyclists cornered the police officer with their motorcycle and shot him multiple times. Gary Desrosiers, a spokesperson of the Haitian National Police has identified the slain officer in civilian clothes as Wilber Etienne (29), a member of the 24th Promotion of the National Police of Haiti (PNH). Wilbert Etienne was the third Police officer to be fatally shot in recent days. There were two more shots to death in the Cite Soleil shanty town. Those two officers died on a motorcycle while exchanging gunfire with a criminal gang.
