As you work with your wedding photographer, you will develop a narrative of your wedding day, captured in photos. Ask for their ideas and suggestions about how best to document moments before, during, and after the ceremony. Here are some recommendations for formal photos.

Photos of your guests as they arrive at the venue you've chosen, before they enter, and taking their seats.

Photos of the bride as she and her father get out of the limousine, and as they enter the building; photos of them as they wait in the foyer for the procession to begin.

As the procession begins photos of the groom's parents, either in procession or taking their seats. If in procession, photos of the groom with his parents; photo of the mother of the bride in procession or taking her seat.

Photos of the groom and his groomsmen at the place where he will meet his bride; photos of the entire bridal party where vows will be exchanged.

Photos of the father delivering the bride to her groom; photos of the groom greeting the bride; photos of them exchanging their vows, placement of the ring during the ring ceremony, and the marriage kiss.

Photos of the bride and groom walking up the aisle; on the front steps of the venue; and mingling with their guests and bridal party.

Final photos of the bride and groom entering the limousine and of them sitting in the back seat of the vehicle.
