Like many others, Gislaine Saint-Julien, a 40-year-old Miami Haitian business woman has expressed her contentment on this historic opportunity. She told the Haitian-Caribbean News Network that this is for the first time any Haitian government has given us such an opportunity to address them or hear from them directly and positively responded to resolve concerned issues. Martelly administration is really doing a great job. The government has formed a roadmap for the benefit of the Diaspora which includes the following: (a) Organize a congress of the Diaspora to decide the area of priorities. The congress will maintain contact with the Government through a representative. (b) Director of Custom will maintain a special window to work and decide all the grievances of the Diaspora. (c) Issues related to properties will be quickly resolved. (d) Archival fee will be reduced to $100 from earlier $170. (b) Consuls will remain open from 8-00 A.M to 6-00 P.M (Monday to Friday) and from 9:00 A.M to 2:00 P.M (Saturday). They will further monitor the decision taken in the 9th program of "Gouvènman an Lakay ou".
