Pitit, Gade comman Kidnapping besse an Ayiti, Hey!

Starting in 2004, kidnapping has been prevalent in Haiti, a deadly trend, a quick way for thugs to get money off desperate family members. Victims or families rarely talked about their kidnapping for fear of being targeted again. No one was safe from kidnapping. However, the high profile arrest of Clifford Brandt was a major step forward in solving the kidnapping problem. I can now say that: "Bagay yo Pa Pi mal Jodia"

Mezanmi mwen sonje nan Moi Decam, bagay yo toujou cho an Ayiti. Kriminel profite de cezon-an pou yo kinbe malere tankou gran neg pou yo mande lajan. Ane 2010, 2011, gacon pa kanpe non an Ayiti.

Parsley Massacre of Rafael Trujillo, one of the least-known genocides

Antihaitinismo isn't an abstract term that Haitians hide behind when they want to speak badly about their treatment in the Dominican Republic. Such an outlook depends on the thing being inchoate and not substantiated by decades of example and legislative proof.

When, in 1937, the Dominican Republic despot, Rafael Trujillo ordered the execution of somewhere between 9,000 and 20,000 Haitian immigrants, the world took scant notice, and the country, Haiti's closest neighbor, continued to fester in its anti-Haiti doctrines and practices. This wrong, not punished for what it was, helped shaped the minds that today, in 2013, have passed a cruel piece of legislature that would strip Haitians, born in or out of the Dominican Republic of the right of citizenship.

Prison condition in Haiti among the worst on the world

Haiti's prison system has been reported as among the worst on the globe. Prisoners are crammed into holding cells shoulder-to-shoulder. They huddle on the cement floor because no beds exist, and they have to sleep in shifts. Often no running water is available, and the men are afflicted with scabies, chronic hunger, mental disturbances, and high blood pressure.

The U.S., in order to alleviate the conditions of too many inmates and too little space, is planning to erect two new prisons in Haiti. They will be located in Petit Goâve and Cabaret. Cost estimates for the project are expected to be from five to ten million USD.

Claude Raymond Jr., a Martelly appointee, was recently installed as Director General of the Office of Immigration and Emigration (OIE), along with eight other Director Generals in September. " by living up to what the Haitian people asked of them as public servants.

Claude Raymond Jr., succeeded in losing Martelly's confidence almost immediately. Not long after his installation, he was detained by Dominican Republic police with a $3 million dollar stash, concealed in an envelope. Someone in the OIE had secret information about the embezzlement, and reported it to the Senate. Senator François Anick ordered an inspection of all briefcases conducted, passing between the borders of Caribbean countries.
