The second leader to come out recently in favor of Haiti is Raul Castro of Cuba. The Cuban President warned in his speech Wednesday January 1st 2014, that his country will never abandon the Haitian people, that we can always count on their modest collaboration.

Raul Castro made his declaration on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the Cuban revolution, the same date. The Cuban leader noted that the Haitian independence had a great impact in Cuba and that Haitian blood runs through the veins of many Cubans
