Max Jean-Gilles, Philadelphia Eagles offensive guard

Max Jean-Gilles is an American football guard who formerly played for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He is born of Haitian parents but was born in the US. This was during one of those times when the country of Haiti was experiencing a great deal of problems with its leaders leading to constant attacks and demonstrations and dictator leaders who made most of the citizens to seek refuge in the only places they could get safety.

They thus moved into the US where Max Jean-Gilles was born and raised. He has grown to know and love the game of football where he has shown exceptional talent and where he has shown a great deal of talent. He attended college at the University of Georgia where he also joined the football team and where he nurtured his talent in playing the game.

Obed Cetoute, Canadian Football player

Obed Cetoute was born on January 7, 1983 in Montreal, Canada, as the son to a Haitian woman who had migrated to Canada to escape the poverty that is so rampant in the Caribbean country. At the tender age of 14 he expressed his desire to play well organized professional football. His mother was reluctant to let him go, as she wanted his son to follow the path to academic excellence. It took the intervention of Obed's uncle, who took it upon himself to convince her that football is a noble profession.

Louis Delmas, professional football player for the Detroit Lions

Louis Delmas is one of the Haitian born stars in the American football teams. He was born in America but his parents were from Haiti who had moved into the states in one of the many political imbalances that used to rock the country during the early years. He has been able to present a great show of abilities in the football games where he has had a great career ever since being drafted into the Detroit national football team.

In his young years Louis Delmas attended school at Miami Beach high school where he had joined the school team and where he began nurturing his career and talent. He was able to easily make the best of it until eventually he got so good at it he just had to be drafted into the 2009 NFL draft.

Lecsinel Jean-Francois, Football Player

Lecsinel Jean-François, born on 2nd October 1986, plays international football for Sheffield United. He plays as a defender for the England based club. Jean-François's parents are Haitian origin.

He was born in Cayenne, French Guiana and began his football career in France. He played for the youthful teams of Paris Saint-Germain and CS Sedan Ardennes. Lecsinel Jean-Francois also played with Falkirk in the Scottish Premier League but left the club at the end of the season to play for En Avant de Guingamp, a Ligue 2 French club.

He did trials for Arbedeen during a pre-season friendly against Brechin City in July 2008. However, he did not win a contract with the club.

Jonathan Vilma, Haitian American football player

After the 2010 Haiti earthquake, he launched The Jonathan Vilma Foundation. The foundation was made to help rebuild the country of Haiti and in particular to help provide basic education to the youth of Haiti. Though he is a successful American football linebacker, Jonathan Polynice Vilma has his native nation Haiti at heart.

Vilma currently plays for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League. He was born on April 16, 1982 in Coral Gables, Florida. His parents are natives of Haiti who had migrated to the United States in 1970.

Donald Guerrier, Volunteer Ambassador for the Promotion of South of Haiti

The Haitian soccer player, Wilde Donald Guerrier, is a rising star not only in his homeland, but also in the international football scene. The 23-year old currently belongs to the Haiti National Football Team as a Defender under the number 23. Guerrier is also a member of the popular Haitian football club América des Cayes and holds a record of nine caps and one goal while playing for the national team for the past three years. He is known in the field for his speed and agility.

Donald Guerrier, along with his other team mates, are regarded as football heroes by their fellow Haitians especially during the 2010 earthquake, the series of hurricanes, and the cholera outbreak that hit the country. Despite these tragedies, the national team never lost their passion and goal in finally qualifying for the World Cup to represent Haiti. Every win by the team gives pride to the nation and at the same time inspires young Haitians to pursue and excel in sports. Football and other sports are perceived as one way Haiti could get into the international market and provides room for economic growth and national unity.

FC Dallas signs midfielder James Marcelin

The Haitian soccer players James Marcelin was signed to FC Dallas on Friday where he will be playing as a midfielder. The terms of the deal were undisclosed and no official payments were made as an announcement. This will help in promoting other Haitian soccer players to play better soccer since the chances for international recognition are there.

The prolific player James Marcelin was born in Haiti on June 13, 1986. Marcelin began his career with Roulado when he was sixteen, helping the team to win the Ligue Haïtienne title in 2003, before moving to Racing Club Haïtien in 2007. In 2008, he moved to the Puerto Rico Islanders of the USL First Division, where he was limited in playing time in league games. However, he played heavily in Puerto Rico's 2008-09 CONCACAF Champions League games. In 2009, he became a regular first team starter. On February 11, 2010, the Portland Timbers (USL) of the USSF D2 Pro League signed James Marcelin to a one year contract for the 2010 season where he quickly established himself as a first-team regular.

Gosder Cherilus is a Haitian born football star who has made it in the limelight out of his great and exceptional talent on the field. He plays for Detroit Lions of the National Football League as an offensive tackle where so far he has shown a great deal of talent and expertise. He is one of the few players who have made it out of their being very much dedicated at what they do such that he is one of the few players who are able to make a great chance out of nothing by just getting into the field and doing what they do and only know.

Jacques Cesaire is a son to Haitian parents who is a famous professional football player who has made it big with time. He has been in the teams for a very long time such that he is nothing but a very great player having played for various big teams where he has made very big achievements and where he has a great future ahead of him.

There are a couple of teams Jacques Cesaire has played for where he has gained a lot of popularity such that he is one of the rising stars and where he got to be so famous. He graduated in Gardner High School in Gardner, Massachusetts, in 1998 where he engaged in the various school games such as basketball, football and track.

Jason Pierre-Paul, American football player from Haiti

Despite being a successful player for the National Football League, Jason Pierre-Paul has not been silent about his roots. He is nicknamed JPP and has recorded remarkable success as defensive end in the American football. Jason Pierre-Paul began his NFL career with the New York Giants in 2010.

Jason Pierre-Paul was born in January 1, 1989. His parents are Haitian and were living in Deerfield Beach, Florida during Jason's birth. His parents had left their mother land in 1983. Though he is a successful NFL player, Jason played basketball at Deerfield Beach High School. However, after a leg injury, he switched to football in his junior year.
