In the two page letter, Former Costa Rica president said instead, the $25 million Martelly has proposed for the new military should be invested in education, health and strengthening other institutions.

Do you thing this latest public stand by Former Costa Rica President Nobel laureate Oscar Arias will hurt the chance for Haiti to have a Military force?
Are you in the opinion that a foreign has no business in our internal business?
Do you think the big guys, Canada, United States, will use this logic not to support any attempt to restore Haiti Military?
Are you still in favor or a return of the disbanded Haitian army?

Haiti, Haiti, Haiti...
Haiti is still a country, a republic, a nation.
An army that is the only institution that we have missed.
I am ensured the Costa Rica's president has mentioned " Education " in his letter.
We do have a lot of educated Haitians who are willing to get aboard and bring their knowledge, their commitment to rebuild this land.
Many countries use their army to participate: to build highways, federal buildings and other infrastructures; to develop medicines, vaccinations, etc...
Why not us, why not Haiti and his
The Costarican President is right about local peace and freedom.
When the army is used to police
the people it is expected to protect.
However, when the people is threatened in any way, if
FIRST THE PRESIDENT OF COSTA RICA NEEDS TO SEND THIS LETTER TO THE ONU, ASK THEM TO REMOVE THE MUNUSTAH FROM THE LAND OF HAITI.
SECOND IF HE BELIEVES THE ARMY IS ENEMY OF DEVELOPMENT, PEACHE AND FREEDOM, THE REST OF THE WORLD DOEST NOT. WE NEED TO CREATE JOBS AND SECURE THE

There should have never been any doubts about the importance of the military service in a nation.
For exemple, Haiti earned its independence from a revolutionary war fought by an indigenous army to abolish slavery.
I'm agree with you at 100% it's time to see things differently and who going to pay the price later our children our grand children.
Army like the costa rica president said is an enemy of the sosiety for Haiti and where the money they ate going to spend will come from why they don't spend this amount I. The future of school and health care this poor country has been suffer enough
Reinstating an army with soldiers who are barely educated (grammar School) is a major mistake.
Why not create a mandatory military service with different branches such as:
1) Engineering Army Corps with graduating students from the Engineering schools to be responsible for Land surveys, irrigation systems, mapping of underground water, roads, dams.
2) Medical Corps wit graduates from the Schools of medicine, nursing etc.to build hospitals, health
