And now it turns out the G6 Senators: Pierre Exius, Moise Jean-Charles, Jean-Baptiste Bien-Aimé, Jean Jeanty, John Joseph, and Wesner Polycarpe are not satisfied with the seating of CEP, claiming ". . . CEP does not inspire confidence and is not constitutional . . ." They point to Article 289 as the basis for their opposition to the CEP as it is seated now. The G6 laments Martelly and Senate President Desras expect G6 to resolve the crisis they created.
Heads of Parliament met to reach consensus on which members of upper and lower chambers would represent the legislative body on the CEP. Senator Desras and Deputy Timoleon tentatively concurred on Nehemie Joseph, Pierre George, and Max Mathurin. And they want to remove Marie Miracle off their shortlist of candidates. The G6 has yet to come to a resolution because they insist three members must be unseated and replaced at the CEP. This writer has three words to add: politics as usual.
