More injustice by Dominicans as 244 Haitians are pick-up and expelled

It has been reported that a Dominican elderly couple was slain in a burglary and as a consequence, 244 Haitians were picked up and expelled by Dominican authorities. Was the crime committed by Haitians in the Dominican Republic? No one is certain

According to Rev. Antoine Lissaint who is heading a Refugee and Migrant Organization in the country, a mob retaliated upon hearing the news by killing a Haitian man. The man was killed because he happens to be Haitians while Haitians were blamed for the fatal stabbing of the elderly couple.

Mob Violence In la Plaine and Les cayes over Petty Thefts

In recent months, outbreaks of senseless violence have occurred in Port-au-Prince and Les Cayes. Angry crowds of people have beaten to death young people they suspected of thievery, for something as minor as the theft of a mobile phone.

Saturday last, Port-au-Prince police reported cremated remains of two suspects and hanging of a third, by hostile bands of citizens. In La Plaine, police discovered incinerated bodies of two victims hog-tied, and a third also burned and hog-tied, found on Route National 2, near Port-au-Prince. In another violent incident in Santo, three young suspects accused of stealing motorcycles--in which one suspect escaped--were stoned and beaten with tire irons and set on fire.

Haitian Houngan invented Cholera Magic Powder

The Haitian Joudalist just learned that rumors in the grand Anse region of Haiti are circulating that a priest has come up with magic powder to spread cholera to the population.

Who said that we can't invent anything?

According to English.news.cn, at least 12 people were killed last week by machete-weilding mobs, and their body burned because of suspicion that they are part of a group using a magic powder to spread the cholera disease on the population.

It was also reported that the local government issued a statemend that said: "There is no cholera powder, nor cholera spirit" and the priests "can neither treat cholera, nor make a powder that gives cholera."
