Micah LeVar Troy, AKA Pastor Troy, Haitian-American rapper

Micah LeVar Troy, birthdate of November 18, 1977, is a Haitian-American rapper and record producer. He took the stage name of Pastor Troy in reference to his father's profession and is also known by this moniker.

Micah LeVar Troy emerged as a performer and record producer in 1999 with his first album, We Ready (I Declare War). He collaborated with successful rappers like Ludacris, who used him on the track "Get Off Me" on the album Back for the First Time. Lil' John worked with Pastor Troy on his Kings of Crunk album, recording the single "Throw It Up". They continued their recording partnership, topping the music charts with the singles "Vice Versa" and "Throw It Up".

In 2002, he issued the Universal Soldier album, which achieved major success in the U.S. and its single "Are We Cuttin'", used as part of the soundtrack for the movie xXx. Universal Soldier entered Billboard's 200 chart at #13.

Following the success of Universal Soldier, Pastor Troy issued By Any Means Necessary in 2004, with its hit single "Ridin' Big". Shortly after, Universal Records terminated his recording contract, due to creative conflicts. He managed to find another recording outlet to issue his album Face Off Part II, in which he vented about Lil' Scrappy and BME. In 2005, he recorded the track "Southern Takeover" on Chamillionaire's album The Sound of Revenge.

Micah LeVar Troy, AKA Pastor Troy had his most prolific year in 2006, issuing albums Stay Tru, By Choice, and Atlanta2Memphis, the last a joint effort with Criminal Manne, a Memphis rap artist, Stay Tru entered the Billboard 200 chart at #150, selling 6,000 copies in week one. His 16th album Ready For War came out in June 2009 and seven more albums have followed since then. At present, Troy is under contract with two recording companies, SMC and Money and Power Records.
