The young delegate from MORACS simply reminded the parliamentarian that whatever he was saying during the meeting is not true. He stood up in the meeting and outlined the inconsistencies and unkept promises made by the Senator four years ago. The incidence of assault was repeated again on the following day on 10th March when Daniel Théodore was going to speak before a correspondent from Signal FM. He was again subjected to beatings of the senator.
However, three days after the assault on the early afternoon of March 13, the Senator came to apologize to the Senate. Before reading his letter of apology, he said whole country has witnessed the incidence that put him struggling with Daniel Théodore. Then he expressed his apology on account of his republican accountability to his family, to the nation and Haitians living both inside and outside the country, to his constituents, the Senate and the institution to which he belongs and finally to Daniel Théodore for this unfortunate incident.
His apology was, however, remained far from simple. He has made the victim responsible for the whole incidence. He has warned and advised citizens not to continue anymore in this way. Uninvited people like Daniel Théodore must not disturb a serious meeting to become a victim of own bad behavior and action. Unfortunately he too became a victim because he fell in to the trap. He has decided to appear before the competent court to resolve the matter.
