Elections canceled in the city of Port-a-Piment
The has not been any official information yet regarding the result of the election that took place on August 9 except for one thing, the elections in Port-à-Piment has been cancelled due to irregularities in the vote count.
According to Mr. Jacceus Joseph who is an Adviser to Electoral Council, the decision to cancel vote count for the commune of Port-à-Piment legislative elections after observing irregularities at several voting centers. A make-up election will be announced shortly

Joseph Hebert Lucien Abandoned post with CEP Materials
The after election casualties in Haiti is in its course now that the election day is over. The first victim is Joseph Hébert Lucien who has been accused by the CEP for abandoning his post in the CEP with some sensitive CEP materials. Namely, The president of the CEP, Pierre-Louis Opont, said that Joseph Hébert Lucien took with him a stock of "Mendates" which was supposed to be used for the election.
On the other hand, Joseph Hébert Lucien rejected the CEP accusation, stating that he gave his resignation last Saturday due to several threats received by some political parties. He was shocked to see the behavior of the President of the CEP who decide to use him as scape goat for the problem in organizing the election.
Sophia Martelly voting in Election kicked out for due to Non-Citizenship
What is wrong with this picture. First lady Sophia Martelly performing her civic duty by voting on August 9, 2015 in the election for Senators and Deputee with her husband, President Michel Martelly.
This election could have been even more important for first Lady Sophia Martelly. She was actually a candidate for the senatorial seat in the west but was disqualified for citizenship issue. Authorities at the CEP found that the first lady was not a Haitian citizen and as a consequence couldn't run as a candidate in this election.
I would think if you are a non-citizen, you couldn't run for a seat or vote in the election. Obviously, this is not the case in Haiti
Voting day in Haiti is now over, the count has started
At 5:05 PM, All Voting Centers are closed and the August 9, 2015 Voting day is now over, now the count has started.
Several thousands of Haitians were in the street today in direction of polling stations to vote. It has been over four years since Haitians were able to participate in an election. However, the voting day was plagued by delays, disorder and physical violence
Several polling stations across the country did not open at 6:00 AM as scheduled. The staff had to wait for ballots. In Centers, voters became upset as their name couldn't be found on the official voting lists.
Ink easily washed off allowing Multiple voting in Haiti
It has been reported that many Haitian voters in the August 8 election are committing fraud by voting multiple time for their candidate.
This incident has been reported at Lycée Henry Christophe of Carrefour and other voting centers. Some voters, after voting, use water and soap to wash the ink in their finger. They move to the next center and do it again and again. One particular voter proudly admitted to vote 5 times in this election day.
A member of the CEP was confronted with this problem. He declared that the ank is good and doesn't take long to dry.
BOUCLIER spoiled election in Grande-Anse, Yolette Mengual
According to a prominent member of the CEP, Yolette Mengual, The situation in the region of Grande-Anse is out of control. She directly pointed the finger at the Political Party BOUCLIER who she accused for creating an atmosphere of violence in the region.
Yolette Mengual stated that member of BOUCLIER go to various Voting centers and proceed on stuffing the ballots or taking the urns with them.
She reported that in Jeremie, three Voting centers are closed. In Fond Cochon in Roseau, the Voting Center was closed by the supervisor after members of BOUCLIER came in and took the urn with them. According to Mario Luma, member of the CEP, individuals identified as BOUCLIER went into his home and threatened his family.
White Pick-up going to several voting Center, causing Panic
It was just reported that a White Pick has been spotted going to several Voting Centers in the Haitian Capital with the purpose of disturbing the voting process. According to several eyewitnesses, this is a very organized operation where the pick-up would go from voting center to voting center, drop some bandits who walk inside the voting Center. They often walk out with the urns.
The vehicle has been identified as ford ranger that has been rented. The license plate on the vehicle has not been identified

Pillage at two Voting Centers in Arcahaie
It has been reported that people have not been able to vote in two
voting centers in the city of Archaie. The population is on the run as individuals earlier came in the voting centers and ran with urns which are the boxes where the ballots are deposited

Violence at Petite Riviere Voting Center
Violence at Petite Riviere Voting Center. We just learned that several bandits entered a voting center with gun on hand to disturb normal voting procedure in the locality of Blin. Police arrested one of the bandits.

Haiti Election Day, August 9, 2015 - Updated by the minute
5:05 PM - All Voting Centers closed and the count has started. Today election is marked by several irregularities. Polling stations across the country did not open on time as some ballot boxes were late to arrive. Voters were unable to their names in some official voting lists. In Port-au-Prince, at least three voting centers were closed prematurely after some people attempted to stuff ballot boxes and ripped up paper ballots. Political Parties observers were upset and in some places were involved in violence, and rock throwing as they were unable to observe the operation. Several scattered arrests were recorded at some polling stations. Official reactions were overall positive. Prime Minister Evans Paul as well as President Michel Martelly said the government was satisfied with the legislative elections.
