Valentine's Day Gift

Initially notes were hand written but now there is mass production of greeting cards. After Christmas, it is this day which involves an approximate sale of one billion cards. Around 85 percent of the card buyers are women. A platonic greeting generically used is the 'Happy Valentine's Day'.

If someone does not have a significant partner the wishes are also exchanged with a bit of sarcasm with the day being referred as Single's Awareness Day. Gifts exchanged are a token of affection, love, esteem and friendship and practical gifts like pots for cooking, crockery are not offered.

The selected gift indicates the romance involved between two people and men most commonly select flowers as gifts. Besides this, jewelry pieces, perfumes and chocolates are choice Valentine's Day gift items offered on Valentines' Day as per the favorite choice of the giver.
