Anel Alexis Joseph Stands By CSPJ
Anel Alexis Joseph has landed on a position wherein he can better help improve Haiti's judicial system. He was inaugurated as one of the new members of the Superior of Judicial Powers (CSPJ) in a ceremony at the School of Magistrates. He teams up with eight other members comprising the new panel as the President of the Court of Cassation.
Anel Alexis Joseph believes that before the CSPJ's establishment, the power that the judicial, legislative, and executive branches hold is not balanced. He said that the Constitution was not receiving the respect it deserves, while the Executive was undermining the power of the judiciary. With the new panel, all these issues are expected to be addressed as its establishment will give way to the separation of power among the three branches.
CSPJ Installs Max Elibert
The Superior Council of Judicial Power (CSPJ) in Haiti is now pinning its hopes on a new nine-member panel to enhance the judicial system in the country. Max Elibert is one of the nine officials comprising the panel. He, along with the other members, was inaugurated during a ceremony at the School of Magistrates. Elibert, who was elected by his peers, is the judge at the Court of Appeals of Les Cayes.
The CSPJ members, including Elibert, now carry the responsibility to recruit and sharpen the skills of new court employees. They also hold the authority to conduct investigations involving court employees if necessary.
Elibert joined forces with other officials such as Anel Alexis Joseph, who is the President of the Court of Cassation. The other members are Antoine Norgaisse, Thiers Malette, Gustave Pharaon, Jean Alix Civil, Jean Etienne Mercier, and Nehemie Joseph.
CSPJ Assigns Thiers Malette To Its Panel
The Superior Council of Judicial Power (CSPJ) in Haiti has created a panel consisting of Thiers Malette and eight other officials. Malette is the Government Commissioner at the Court of Cassation. His installment as a CSPJ member means that he will be part of the panel tapped to contribute to the improvement of the country's judicial system. Among the CSPJ's responsibilities is to hire and train judges and court employees. They can also carry out relevant and necessary investigations.
Malette and the other members officially took the positions during a ceremony at the School of Magistrates. Upon the inauguration, the CSPJ panel has a lot of work to do. Its job is very crucial to the country and its entire judicial system. As a matter of fact, Durin Duret, the President of the Association of Haitian Magistrates believes that the creation of the CSPJ nine-member panel is an important step to gain back public confidence.
Aside from Malette, other officials were installed as members of CSPJ in order to ensure that the panel's tasks are done efficiently. These officials include President of the Court Cassation Anel Alexis Joseph and Vice-President Antoine Norgaisse. The rest of the panel consists of Max Elibert, Gustave Pharaon, Jean Alix Civil, Dilia Lemaire, Nehemie Josep and Jean Etienne Mercier.
Gustave Pharaon Comes To CSPJ
Gustave Pharaon is one of the officials who have taken the initiative to develop a better judiciary in Haiti. Along with eight other officials, Pharaon has been inaugurated as a member of the Superior Council of Judicial Power (CSPJ). Pharaon, the Dean of the Tribunal of First Instance of Gonaives, was chosen by the Courts of First Instance of the Republic. He is among the officials who have taken the responsibility to bring the country's judiciary system to a higher level.
The CSPJ works by separating the power held by the three branches namely the judiciary, legislative and executive. Doing this would enable the judiciary to have independence. Pharaon and his co-members are given a task to screen and recruit judges and court employees. Aside from hiring them, they are also supposed to train and help them improve their skills and capabilities. This way, everyone who works in the judiciary will have what it takes to run the system efficiently and properly. A faulty judiciary can greatly affect the country and its people. This is the reason why the government is keen on ensuring the efficiency of the judiciary with the creation of the CSPJ panel.
Dilia Lemaire As CSJP New Member
Dilia Lemaire has been inaugurated as one of the members of the Superior Council of Judicial Power (CSPJ). Lemaire, the representative of civil society, is just one of the nine members who were officially installed at the School of Magistrates. With his appointment, Lemaire will bear more responsibility in the Haiti's judiciary system.
While the CSPJ aims to enhance the judiciary system in Haiti, Lemaire and the entire CSJP are tapped to hire, train and hone the skills of new judges and court employees. Not only that, they have the authority to investigate court officials who may have violated the law.
Jean Etinne Mercier Joins CSPJ
The Superior Council of Judicial Power has installed nine members, one of whom is Jean Etienne Mercier. Mercier is the representative of the judges of the courts of peace of republic. He is also the Judge of Peace of Delmas.
With the installation, Mercier and the other CSJP members share a common goal of ensuring that the judicial system in the country is efficient. The nine-member panel is formed in order to separate the judicial, legislative, and executive branches. This would give the proper power and authority to the CJSP. Members will be tasked to recruit judges and court officials, as well as train and develop them.
Jean Alix Civil Becomes A Part Of CSJP
Joining eight other judicial members, Jean Alix Civil is now part of a new panel of the Superior Council of Judicial Power (CSJP). Civil, Government Commissioner of the Court of First Instance of Petit Goâve, was elected by the Minister of Justice. He will now serve the CSJP, which was formed in a bid to strengthen the country's rule of law and improve the entire judicial system.
One of the main goals of the CSJP is to separate the power among the judicial, legislative and executive branches. Its members carry the responsibility to create a pool of skilled and capable judges and court employees, as well as to conduct relevant investigations.
CSPJ Appointment, Nehemie Joseph
Nehemie Joseph has been officially installed as a member of the Superior Council of Judicial Power (CSJP). He is the representative of the Assembly of barrister in exercise and the Dean of the Bar of Gonaives. The inauguration was held during a ceremony at the School of Magistrates. It is part of the CSPJ's efforts to improve the judicial system in the country.
Joseph joins eight other members who were also inaugurated as part of the new CSJP panel. The others are Antoine Norgaisse, Anel Alexis Joseph, Max Elibert, Thiers Malette, Jean Alix Civil, Max Elibert, Jean Etienne Mercier, and Dilia Lemaire.
