Is the opposition biting more they can chew by protesting at US Embassy?

Since September 11, 2001 where several terrorist attacks were launched by the Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda upon the United States in New York City and Washington, D.C., the policy of the United States has changed as to what constitutes a threat to them. Having a huge crowd of people gathering in front of their embassy in protest, can be categorized as such a threat.
I think this is not a prudent move by the group opposing the Martelly regime. It is not good for the safety of either the embassy or the innocent demonstrators.
They should have been more responsible since they are unable to control every element participating in this protest.
One thing I can tell you is that the US Embassy will not take this announcement very lightly.
How can they prevent radical left-wing extremists form gathering around?
Did they evaluate the possible consequences?
