What Valentine's Day should mean to all Haitians

In the aftermath of Haiti Earthquake, Valentine's day should have a very special meaning to us Haitians. Valentine's day should be a special day to remind us Haitians how fragile we are and for us to appreciate even more our loved ones.

If we don't learn anything else from Haiti earthquake, we should at least learn that we can't wait for tomorrow to do something that needs to be done today. The same way, we can't wait to show our love because it might be too late.

Let' show some love on this Valentine's Day with this beautiful Haitian music video from Gracia Delva for this Special Valentine's Day:

This Haiti earthquake of January 12, 2010 teaches me two lessons: 1) Prepare for the future, at the same time, enjoy the present moment. 2) Love like there is no tomorrow.

How many of these Haitians who died in the Haiti Earthquake really thought something like that could have happened to them. How many people in Haiti could ever think that so many Haitians could pay the ultimate price in less than one minute, with their own lives, for over 200 years of class division, discrimination, selfishness and lack of cooperation, vision and leadership.

With Haiti earthquake 2010, we come to realise that in a few seconds, you can loose all, everything you spend a lifetime building. Worst, you can loose those people who are dear to you and without the time to tell them goodbye or how much they mean to you.

Imagine for a moment you wake up one morning and all the people who are closest to you are suddently gone for ever? The minimum you can do on this beautiful Valentine's day is to show some love and let them know how much you love them.

I do not know about you, but since Haiti Earthquake, I have been looking at my family in a different way. I feel like I need to express my love to them every opportunity I have. I do not want to wait for another day to let them know how much they mean to me or how much I love them. By the way, Happy Valentine's day to you May, Kimberly, Kaelin. You can not begin to understand how much I love you.

Your opinion counts. Please comment on this Valentine's Day subjec
