Here is what the University of Illinois study found:
1) Haitian kids are very rich in Family relationships. They have a strong sense of family obligation.
2) Haitian children are strongly rooted in their own culture and very attached to Haitian culture.

As a result, Haitian children are more resilient individuals. They believe that they should respect and obey their parents
