12/02/11.Despite numerous efforts on the part of the international community to help Haiti recover from the mass-death and destruction caused by the killer-earthquake on January 12, 2010, the money made available to the country is insufficient and the reconstruction too slow. Together with the United Nations the Martelly-Conille administration needs to have Haitians living and working abroad to pay taxes from their incomes to Haiti.
While our country should remain grateful to the donor-nations such as the United States of America, Canada, France and many others, the Haitian people as a whole must decide the economic strategies and all financial investments in rebuilding Haiti.

As President Martelly intends to increase taxes on telecommunications, financial transactions and money transfers to Haiti, all Haitians living and working overseas in countries like the United States, Canada, France and others should have also to pay some taxes about 5% from their incomes and earnings to the nation.
Such economic measure can easily be introduced to the Parliament and signed into
