Democracy does not work in failed States like Haiti, Hugo Guilliani Cury

I have it up to my mouth with the Dominican Republic. Here is the latest. According to the economist and Dominican ambassador Hugo Guilliani Cury, "Haiti is a failed State and as such creates serious problems for the Dominican Republic"' that "Democracy does not work in failed States like Haiti"

He proposed that the donor States create a "partnership for development" and I assume that he sees the Dominican republic as on of such partners.

Likewise, South African and Namibian are one people in the sense that they are both black and have African blood.

But that doesn't mean South Africa is going to allow thousands of illegal immigrants from Namibia to be dumped on their territory.

Some people have issues handling the truth.

In this case, the author of this article cannot stomach the fact that Haiti is the poorest and most illiterate nation in the western hemisphere.

He/she cannot stomach the fact that Haiti create problems for the DR by dumping thousands of illegal immigrants on that neighboring country.

I just want a confirmation on that. I head that when Haiti occupied the Dominican Republic, there was a campaign by the Haitian army to exile most white people who were living in the Dominican Republic.

Was this the source of the Antihaitianismo feeling?

The difference between Haitians and Dominicans is purely cultural.

Haitians are raised to be open to other cultures, to accept who they are and be connected to their origin.

Just like Dominicans, Haitians are a combination of several group such as Indian, African, European, and more. Dominicans on the other hand are tough at an early age to reject anything that is black.
