Bemol Telfort to be honored by County commissioner Jean Monestime

His guitar was unique, though it lacked some scales like c major. Telfort attempted to come up with a guitar with c major scale. To achieve this he bought various guitar books that he came across. To earn a living he played conga, breathing percussion instrument and his own made guitar.

Bemol Telfort used those books to earn more skills to play his guitar and at the age of 14 years he became leader of Christian band. He stayed in that band group for seven years in which he came up with four albums. He taught himself Jazz music and then moved to U.S, where he got many fans due to his ability to play body percussion using his hands feet and body. In U.S he got a guitar and composed drums beat which all created root music.

All through he was a self taught musician until he joined music school in 1990 to gain more skills. Bemol Telfort was influenced by Benson and Wes Montgomery, but his music was different from both of them. His root music has a lot of Haitian culture, which earned him recognition by County commissioner Jean Monestime.
